Before you start your exciting new life in Thailand, you’ll be completely prepared for the classroom with our 240 hour TEFL Expert Course. Including five professional courses; not only will you be a fully qualified TEFL teacher, and be licensed to prepare students for the important IELTS and TOEIC tests. You’ll specialize in Teaching Business English and Teaching Young Learners to top off your training package.

On arrival you’ll enjoy airport pickup and spend your first three days on teacher’s orientation. Get to know fellow TEFL teachers, brush up on cultural tips for life in Thailand and enjoy a spot of sightseeing. You’ll feel right at home thanks to our local knowledge and professional support.

Internship requirements

  • Aged between 21 – 45
  • Native English speaker
  • Passport holder from USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, South Africa, Australia or New Zealand

How it works

Before you go, you’ll have an application form to fill out, a video chat, submit all your documents and then you’ll be on your way.


Getting there

On arrival at Suvarnabhumi International Airport (Bangkok), you’ll enjoy airport pickup from our in-country team.

What do you need to organize?

  • International flights: You’ll need return flights (can be two one-way)
  • Police check: You’ll need a clean criminal record
  • Health check: You’ll need to provide a health statement
  • Vaccines: Consult your local doctor for advice
  • Budget: Spending money for your first month plus excursions etc
  • Visa cost: You’ll have support to obtain your visa and the cost is reimbursed in your first month’s allowance
  • Travel insurance: It’s really important to sort yours before you travel!
 Your teaching experience

You’ll typically teach for a maximum of 24 hours of face-to-face teaching on a Mon – Fri teaching schedule. During class time you will aim to improve your students’ reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.

Any support you need for activity planning will be on hand from your teaching colleagues and you’ll have up to 15 hours for preparation and school activities each week.

Teaching placements are in formal primary and secondary Thai schools, normally one or two interns are placed per school. Often though, other foreigners (travelers or expats) live or work nearby.

Friends and couples are welcome to apply, we recommend applying early as placement together is based on availability.


After you settle in, you will spend the semester teaching in one of our stunning placements throughout Thailand. Locations are varied and include:

  • North
  • North East
  • Central
  • South

Outside the classroom

For life outside of the classroom, you get to experience first-hand the ethnic and cultural variations of Thailand. Bordering Laos and Myanmar, Northern Thailand is world-renowned for its lush mountainous peaks, the beauty of its ancient temples, mysterious Thai hill tribes and cooler, yet still tropical temperature.

After your teaching semester head to the coast to soak up some sun. White sandy beaches line the coastline of Thailand and are a mecca for expats and tourists in search of entertainment and a bustling nightlife.

Island hopping is a must, take a speedboat ride to Koh Phangan for a full moon party or go snorkelling off the small coral island of Koh Tao.


With between 30,000 – 34,000 (THB) Thai Baht monthly allowance you’ll be the best-paid TEFL intern in Thailand. You’ll save plenty of money for traveling during weekends off and sightseeing.
